Summer

Sun glows like a jewel

Umbrellas near the pool

Mallard ducks on the lake

Malibu citizens are on break

Everyone needs to hydrate now

Racing in the summer Olympics....Wow!

Spring

Seeds are growing

Plants are blowing

Roses shove out the dirt

It's the beginning of a pansy's birth

Nuts are dug out

Grass and weeds fly about

Call it SPRING!

Tornado

They're packed with power,able to destroy

Oklahoma had a lot, not giving many joy

Roaring loud sirens go off

Newcastle with cars going biff-boff

Alarms are on, visibility low

Dark clouds blow

Oh no!!!!!!!!!

Family

Fun would happen with it

All will be good

Mom is amazing!

I like my Dad well too!

Little brothers can be a pest, But

Your family might be the best!!!!!

Outer Space- Double Feature

Olympus Mons on Mars

Uranus near neutron stars

Tall and wide is the universe

Earth in 4 billion years may burst

Rings near Saturn's moons.

Sulfur on Venus with pitter-patter tunes

Pluto is now excluded from the solar system

And the sun is shining like a gem

Ceres is an asteroid,It is what,

Earth's scientists try to avoid.

Outer Space,

Is a wonderful place

You should all know that

The Andromeda galaxy

To the planet known as Mercury

To the caverns of Kentucky holding bats

This wonderful place

Known to you as outer space

Is how this poem ends.

But we all know that,

With space we are friends!

My Hard Life - Chelyabinsk, Russia

Chapter 1

Feb 14, 9:00 AM

It was a normal day. 10 years old, Viktor was taking a stroll through Chelyabinsk, Russia. The 10 year old was in central Chelyabinsk.

It is Valentine's day. Viktor doesn't suspect a thing. He sees his friend Boris inviting him to play Ice hockey. Viktor says "No". He takes the marshrutka* home. His dog runs under the couch. Viktor knows something is wrong.

*marshrutka is a form of public transportation in Russia.

Chapter 2

February 14, 6:00 PM

Viktor thinks about what would happen the following day. He starts to worry. Just before dinner, he tells dad "I am going to play with Boris". Viktor wants to spend time with his friend before what might happen.

Viktor rings the bell. Boris comes out. "What are you doing here?" Boris asks. "I want you to come outside", says Viktor. Boris asks "Why?". "I want to ride my bike with you", says Viktor. Boris says "Okay".

Chapter 3

February 14, 8:25 PM.

"Viktor, It's getting dark" says Boris. "Nonsense" says Viktor. They peddle towards the Ural Mountains.

Meanwhile at Viktor's house, Dad was getting worried.

Dad calls Vikor on his phone. Viktor didn't pickup. The bikes were really high. Viktor thought he was safe. But a few minutes later a streak zooms through the sky. He realizes its a meteor. He stays still and frozen, gazing at the quiet sky filled with danger and beauty.

He warns Boris. They observe its path and feel fierce winds and very intense heat that blow at their exact coordinates. Viktor and Boris forget their bikes and run home. Viktor jumps into his bed. The line streaks outside his window. He tells his family to take cover.

Chapter 4

February 15, 12:05 AM.

Viktor dreamed of a massive explosion in the high altitude of the Ural Mountains.

Vitor suddenly woke up. His alarm clock said 1:59. He looked right up. Viktor saw a blinding flash. His heart pounding. Viktor's mind swirling and confused. His hair standing up.

Chapter 5

February 15, 6:00 AM.

Viktor is tired and scared. The meteorite can strike any second. He has a life or death situation. He is eating breakfast. A heat of flames strikes. An hour later, Viktor gets ready for school. At 9 o' clock, he is in the car. Twenty minutes later, fires take over the road. Rocks blast the top of the car. Everything blows up.

Viktor gets in the trunk just in the nick of time. But the car is crushed. He cant breathe.
